What is the best way of incorporating the website into my overall marketing? Below is a list of questions and comments that came from notes taken at a speech given by Jay Levinson. They are meant to stimulate thinking about the process of becoming active in e-commerce. Content- The content of your website is what is gong to bring people back for more. They are not readers, they are visitors. Your want your visitors to have lush and meaningful visits to your site. Content is king when it comes to a website.You could hold your position for many months or years without any additional work. There again, you could drop after a few months. A lot is down to the search engines and their algorithms. When this happens the web site will need tweaking to regain your rankings, which is our job. Google in particular is well known for changing its algorithms regularly. The reason why links are important and a good indicator of search engine placement is quite simple.

Posting messages on online discussion boards is a great way to get free advertising. When you post a message include your signature file at the end. Your signature file should be no more than 5 to 6 lines. Include an attention-getting sentence why they should visit your web site or e-mail your auto esponder.
