Although most businesses have chosen the route of increasing prices, there are several good reasons not to go this route. First, it usually results in losing customers, which can driver profits to the same low point you were trying to escape. Second, it is unfair to customers to take this route without contemplation, because it forces them into your same dilemma. Last, if you can avoid raising prices at a time when just about every other business is doing it, you are guaranteed to keep your customers and even pick up a few new accounts. It can be difficult to cut costs when the price of just about everything seems to go up every day, but here are a few ideas to get you started.
