There are many of us out there still listening to those horrible sounds of a dial-up modem to get connected to the Internet. There are even more who don?t have any internet connection whatsoever. For those of you following either of those roads let me tell you why you need to make a U-turn and go the other direction.

In the select markets where Verizon has laid out its fiber optic network, otherwise known as FIOS, more and more cable subscribers have been jumping ship. For almost the same price, Verizon has been offering greater speed and reliability compared to cable.

If you’re in the market to upgrade your internet access from dial up or choose a broadband provider for the first time, it can be confusing. With the different options available, the choice to move to a broadband one is an affordable and smart one as the internet adds more and more broadband content.

Satellite Internet has long been something that was only available to the government and business types in society. But thanks to consumerism and the fact that technology is becoming less expensive all the time, satellite Internet is starting to become more geared towards consumers and business alike- not just those with deep pockets.

Broadband Internet service has become a “must have” for those already enjoying the high speed Internet provided by cable broadband, DSL, or T1 services. Still, many dial up Internet users are reluctant to make the switch to broadband due to the increased cost in Internet access, and fail to recognize broadband’s money saving potential.
